Independent Sexual Violence Advisor (ISVA) Service
Hi my name is Rebecca,
I am the Lead Independent Sexual Violence Advisor (ISVA for short) based here at Family Matters.
My role is to offer emotional support and practical advice to people who have been sexually assaulted or raped and live in the NW Kent and Medway areas.
Dealing with the aftermath of such an assault can be an overwhelming time for victims. You may need someone who can help you work out what you need and how to get it, whether you have reported your assault to police or not that is what I'm here for. All enquiries will be treated in the strictest confidence.
There are lots of ways I can help, which will enable you to move forward from what has happened; contacting police on your behalf, signposting you to relevant health services and other support, advice on criminal justice procedures, a referral to the Family Matters Rape Therapy Programme.
I work Tuesday-Friday and you can contact me on 01474 536 661
Hi my name is Dolores,
I am the Deputy Independent Sexual Violence Advisor (ISVA). Like Rebecca, there are lots of ways I can be of assistance to you at this difficult time.
I'm also based at Family Matters, but I am around on Mondays! You can contact me on 01474 536 661
Please don't be afraid to give either of us a call if you think we could be of help to you, or if you would like a bit more information about the ISVA service.
Hope we hear from you, Rebecca and Dolores
